Research Interests

My research interest includes 
wildlife diseases, aquatic animal medicine, conservation medicine, zoological medicine,  one health,molecular diagnosis, virus discovery, epidemiology, effect of diseases in wild populations, and human wildlife interactions.  I have worked with Humboldt penguins (Spheniscus humboldti) ecology and population dynamic. My current research have emphasis in marine mammals virus discovery.  My dissertation topic is CSLAdV-1 in California sea lion and adenoviruses in other pinniped
