Dr. Milner oversees clinical trials held at the UF Veterinary Hospitals, as well as research that translates from human to veterinary medicine and vice-versa. He also works closely with clinician scientists and other researchers to help them meet their scientific goals.

Dr. Hernandez oversees the college’s Ph.D. and M.Sc. programs, represents the dean on the college’s graduate studies committee, serves as liaison to the Veterinary Graduate Student Association, and works with the associate dean for research and graduate studies to facilitate college-wide and departmental efforts to recruit and train graduate students. He also represents college graduate programs at the Health Science Center and campuswide.

Ms. O’Connell provides day to day management of the CVM’s graduate program, including admissions, course registration, tuition payments, and processing college-level graduate assistantships and fellowships.

Ms. Cunningham has over 19 years of research administration experience at UF. She currently is the RA for the large and small animal clinical sciences departments in the college. She assists faculty and graduate students with preparing grant proposal applications, contracts, agreements and works with UF’s Division of Sponsored Programs office on submitting these applications in a timely manner. She also is responsible for award modifications and serves as back-up to Sally O’Connell for the college’s graduate program.

Mrs. Johns reviews and assists with all grant applications and contract prior to submission and sets up accounts for newly awarded grants for the college’s departments of comparative, diagnostic, and population medicine and physiology.  She assists new faculty in finding grant resources and manages the internal awards issued by the Office of Research and Graduate Studies. She has a Master’s degree in Research Administration from the University of Central Florida and has over nine years of grant experience. She also serves as an author for NCURA magazine.
