Research Interests

I am a 3rd year PhD student in Physiological Sciences – with a focus on Toxicology. I have a bachelor degree in General Biology and Life Sciences – “maitrise es science” (equivalent to a teaching diploma), a master degree in Biology and a master degree in Biotechnology – Analytical Toxicology. I started my PhD at UF in 2015. For my PhD thesis project, I’m using budding yeast as model to study the mitochondria-nuclear communication and signaling. I am also working on two other side projects, one of which is testing the effect of metabolism on a few potential breast carcinogens and the other involves studying potential causes and etiologies of Transitional Cell Carcinoma in certain predisposed breeds of dogs.
